Following the International Year of Millets 2023 initiative, Mr. Prasanna Srinivas Sarakadam began building a National Millet Ecosystem across India through MBF Universe. Today, the ecosystem connects 45 millet manufacturers across India, with a vision to establish 1,000+ District Millet Mission Leaders across the country and promote multiple millet-based product variants. To strengthen millet-based health and nutrition awareness, he also established the HNA Council – Health & Nutrition Ambassadors Council, bringing health and nutrition professionals together to promote healthier food choices. At the heart of this initiative is a simple national mission: “One Millet Meal a Day” The vision is to encourage everyone to make at least one of their three daily meals a millet-based meal, helping make millets a regular part of everyday food and healthier living.
