Patrick Van Damme is a senior researcher and professor of tropical agriculture at Ghent University in Belgium and at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Czechia. With around four decades of experience in tropical crop science and agricultural development, he works across research, education and policy advice. He joins the World Millet Federation to contribute his knowledge and experience of millets through advocacy, networking and institutional partnerships.
