Jacob Birch is the Managing Director of Yaamarra & Yarral, a social enterprise pioneering Australia's native millet industry. He has worked with Australian native millets for seven years and with foxtail and pearl millets for three, and wrote a strategic research, development and extension plan for the native millet industry.

He founded the governing body for Australia's native millet industry and developed a range of millet grain, flour and baked products for the gluten-free market. His work has received several awards and recognitions in Australia.
